Paul Finebaum: ‘I really believe it’s time for The U to return’

Paul Finebaum believes Miami is ready to return to national prominence.

Here is what Finebaum had to say about the Hurricanes:

“Not only next week but all season long, I believe in the Hurricanes,” Finebaum said. “It has been a rough couple of years for Mario Cristobal. Remember, he moved over from Oregon to try to resurrect that program down there. Now, he’s about the third coach in a row that’s tried to do that, but they have the tools this year.”

Paul also said that the Hurricanes was an underrated team at No. 19 in the AP poll:

“I think it’s Miami,” Paul Finebaum said. “They lost four games last year at the buzzer, one that the head coach Mario Cristobal simply gave away. Remember that game against Georgia Tech? They open the season at Florida and they’re gonna make Jeff Darlington [Florida graduate] a very unhappy man that first weekend. He’s gonna have to go back to the toilet looking for an iguana.”

“Paul and I agree, it’s definitely Miami. Mario Cristobal has done an excellent job of recruiting. This is arguably the most talented team in the ACC. Paul is right, though, no one is ever going to forget that Georgia Tech game. Take a knee, please,” Dinich said.

I think y'all are missing the point. Finebaum has ben an SEC/ Saban shill forever. To me, it was always because of the SEC/ ESPN relationship. This dude persona has ALWAYS hated on Miami. For him (or his writers) to change that script is significant

Finbaum has always liked Mario, that’s why he’s not hating on Miami anymore
