The anxious Hard Rock Stadium crowd received relief from the Miami offense thanks to big plays by Cam Ward and his talented wide receivers. The Miami quarterback threw touchdowns of 50, 17, and 9 yards to propel the Hurricanes past the Rattlers of Florida A&M 56-9. No. 12 UM improves to 2-0.

It may have not been perfect but the Canes did enough to make big plays at the right time to pull away from FAMU.

When Ward had time to throw, he looked like a future first round draft pick. The Miami quarterback completed 20-of-26 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns. He was sacked just once in the game today.

Ward completed passes to 8 different receivers but Xavier Restrepo was his favorite target. The Florida native had four receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Horton tallied four receptions for 66 yards and Chris Johnson caught a touchdown, Ward also rushed one in by himself.

There is many plays I could pull from the game today but this one really did set the tone for the game today and was a game-changer.
