I dont push back on that strategy, makes perfect sense. The problem is, they waited until THE DAY BEFORE THE SCHEDULED VISIT to drop this bomb?? Come on man, thats poor execution no matter how you look at it.

The Friday high school games, the Saturday morning UM game, the official visits... these have all been known for quite some time. This is bush league stuff extremely disappointing. I dont blame Wiley for being upset

I heard that the Wake game suddenly sold out and we were going to have to create an area behind hedges and use folding chairs for seats in order to accomodate the recruits. And we would have provided them with Chick Fil-A. And a very aggressive female staffer/bodyguard...

I get it but I don’t like it. Maybe they should’ve thought of this before it was put out he was visiting. Seems sloppy imo.

I feel like they wouldn’t push these visits if they didn’t feel good about where they stand right? It’s either the flip candidates are already silently committed or they are firm with their schools and we moved on

I’ll be the person to say it….**** those OVs that got postponed. I need all focus on these last 2 regular season games, the DC needs to spend every **** minute getting his on field coaching decisions together. Getting to & winning our first ACC championship is more important by far.

Not buying it... there is more to it
Maybe it is unreachable price war at this point vs Texas maybe

We would not do that a Jeremiah Smith same situation last year

This isn’t a conspiracy theory. Other commits had OVs scheduled this weekend and they moved those too.

With playoffs kids really won’t get to start OV until Saturday AM. Sunday the staff wants to focus on Cuse and closing the season. It’s really not a true OV experience.

This isn’t that hard to comprehend

Talking about the guy not committed
Signing day is in less than two weeks
Understand perfectly the situation canceling the other 2 committed kids

Big nothingburger. Kid can still OV if he wants. If the program thinks it's best to avoid distractions for the current staff/team, then good. Glad they aren't going to half *** an OV.

It's good for the locker room as well - current players see the staff is all about the business at hand. Players know how important the next few games are and I would imagine the staff expects them to be locked in. No need for the staff to take any time doing the dog and pony show.

If a kid or his people get in their feelings about it, they can move on. Conference title and a playoff spot is much more important.

I'm a fan of this. Focus on the team and the final stretch. I am sure it was conveyed to the recruits and they should actually respect that and look good to them. Focus on finishing and lock in!

Had plenty of chances to commit. A rescheduled OV shouldn't change a thing if you already know what they have to offer you and have been on visits multiple times. Game is the game I guess.

Awesome, thank you. We used to do that on the ESPN boards back in the day until people started giving Heather Dinich grief about her unusually large forehead.

:p Then they made it where no one could post at all and it’s never changed.
