Miami went to Seminole to find a Cane.

Max Buchanan, four-star OL from Seminole High School (Sanford, FL), announced at the Rivals 5-Star Camp that he is going to Miami. He chose the Canes over FSU, Clemson, Ole Miss, Penn State and UCF.

The 6'4, 295-pound Buchanan is the 238th ranked player overall in the nation. He played left tackle for Seminole, but Miami views him as a player with versatility to play all over the line. This is a huge victory over FSU and Clemson, who both prioritized Buchanan. This is also Miami's third OL commit from the Central Florida, a region that has been challenging for Miami in the past two decades.

Buchanan is Miami's 12th commit, joining QB Luke Nickel, RB Girard Pringle, TE Brock Schott, TE Luka Gilbert, OL TK Muex, OL Jaden Wilkerson, OL Demetrius Campbell, LB Elijah Melendez, LB Ezekiel Marcelin, DB Amari Wallace and CB Tim Merritt.
