It's gameday and UM will look to keep their Coastal Division hopes alive with a win over UNC on homecoming.
UM is riding some momentum coming into this game. A blowout win over a conference rival like Viriginia Tech will get a team feeling confident again. We're 12-1 at home over the past 13 games, which is pretty amazing since there's practically zero home field advantage in that building. They'll need another win to keep the good vibes going with FSU coming up on in a couple of weeks.

Official message for this game: Ride Duke to a win.
Duke Johnson is good at football. That's hardly a bold statement but it's really as simple as that. Last year we were able to let Dallas Crawford carry us on his shoulders when the game was on the line. The UNC team we'll see tomorrow is even worse defending the run than they were last year. The 2014 edition of the Tar Heels are giving up 210 yards a game on the ground. They'll have to sellout against the run in order to stop him, which in turn should allow Kaaya to work his magic in the play-action passing game. It will also allow us to control the clock, and give our defense the rest it needs against an up-tempo offense like UNC.

What people were saying after our glorious victory:
From last year's gameday thread
I basically said the same thing after the game. We all saw the problems, we just didn't want to admit to them.

I know this has to be one of the worst games I've see by Miami, but with that said WE STILL WON. Going into a hostile environment like chapel hill on a Thursday night and coming out with a win, I'm happy I don't care how bad we played. Keep your head up Stephen Morris go back home and rest up buddy. Now I can have a good weekend..........Lastly, I LOVE YOU DALLAS CRAWFORD YOU ARE THE MAN............

What they're saying:
Brian Barbour said:...In the context of just this game, the Tar Heels face a tall order. Miami has a capable offense and a running back that can punish UNC's rather porous defense on first and second down to keep the Hurricanes on schedule and moving the chains. Miami's offensive production per play is on the same level as what Georgia Tech produces except with more balance. Duke Johnson establishes an excellent running game which makes things easier for Brad Kaaya in the passing game. Kaaya, a freshman, had a rough start to the season throwing seven interceptions in his first our games. In the last four games, Kaaya has thrown just two picks and both of those came in a loss to Georgia Tech. Kaaya is also coming off his worst game of the season. Against Virginia Tech Kaaya was just 7-16 for 92 yards and one touchdown. The Hokies pass defense was likely a factor here whereas UNC's secondary may permit Kaaya to have his best game of the season...
