Lofton 2 snaps Allen, Lyle, and Johnson no snaps. I hope he gets the job at Rice. He has done an awful job, of shaking things up on offense trying to get the ball in the hands of the younger guys. Guidry the same on defense. Having Bain play all those snaps. I have no words for lack of imagination of our two coordinators.

Holy ****.

Patterson was only out there for 9 snaps?

He was getting roasted every time he was in there.

I mean….Guidry did everything he could from a personnel standpoint. We didn’t play a single snap with more than 2 corners on the field?

We faced 64 snaps.

OJ played every single one.
Porter played 52 and got hurt, Hill played the last 12

Meesh played every one
Harris and Patterson played 6 snaps together on the field.

So we played nickel 6 whole snaps. And still could never get them behind the sticks. Disgusting.

Did Barrow ever come back into the game? I haven’t rewatched yet. I’m guessing no. Seems like we really missed him.

That’s too many snaps for Bain. We have all these defense ends and he plays every snap. Let the young bucks play. Make it simple go hard to the tackle’s outside shoulder and contain on the way to the qb. Hit the qb every time he gets close because he is injured. Period

Pretty sure I saw Barrow in on last series they got a stop.

The young DEs are light and the game was close. Is Alston hurt?

Yeah... I have a friend who kept complaining that he wasn't getting playing time and I told him that with how bad our safeties have been playing that I couldn't imagine that Patterson was better than them or clearly they would play him more. Sure enough... at least from the small sample size in this game... it was pretty clear why they weren't playing him.

Now I think it is a fair question to ask 'why are all of our safeties - including one that started in the National Championship game 2 years ago - playing so terribly,' but I don't think our coaches are playing favorites/favoring seniority for the sake of it.
