Silas Demary, a guard transfer from Georgia, is among the top available players in the portal this spring. Miami is actively pursuing him.

The 6-foot-5, 195-pound guard reportedly had a Zoom meeting with the Miami Hurricanes' new coaching staff, reported On3 on Saturday afternoon.

As a sophomore, he averaged 13.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.7 steals, shooting 37.4% from three and 80.4% from the free-throw line.

According to Jamie Shaw of On3, UConn, BYU, Auburn, Kentucky, and Oklahoma are all the teams that have already had a Zoom meeting with the Georgia transfer guard.

Lucas, the UGA assistant and the Kentucky guy that just came over. I’d think Moran is on those calls too even though he isn’t official yet.

Little help, who is Moran again??

Bball stuff is moving quickly, guess that happens when you have an entire roster to replace....

Miami recently hired Erik Pastrana as an assistant coach. I'm pretty sure he was on the call, considering he was as assistant at Georgia the last few years. He's also a Miami native with Cuban roots.
