Miami Reaches Out To Summit League Player Of The Year Marquel Sutton

Miami's coaching staff has contacted Marquel Sutton, the Summit League Player of the Year.

Sutton entered his name into the transfer portal on Thursday. The next day, the 6-foot-8 forward heard from the Hurricanes. He has one more year of eligibility left.

In his senior season of 2024-25 at Omaha, Marquel played all 35 games, averaging 18.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per 32.2 minutes, with shooting percentages of 47.9% from the field, 27.7% from three-point range, and 73.9% from the free-throw line.

Teams including Kansas, Ohio State, Xavier, Texas, Notre Dame, LSU, Mississippi State, Baylor, Clemson, Missouri, Washington, and Iowa have all reached out to the Summit League Player of the Year.
