According to a post by Joe Tipton of On3, two schools to watch for Indiana transfer forward Malik Reneau are Miami and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Tipton was the first to report the news on Saturday. Miami has also previously reached out to Georgia State forward transfer Zarique Nutter and South Dakota guard transfer Chase Forte.
Reneau suffered a knee injury on January 2 against Rutgers, sidelining him for the next five games. However, he returned to the court shortly thereafter.
Reneau entered the transfer portal on March 18 after spending three seasons with Indiana. In his junior season with the Hoosiers, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 13.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He shot 55.2% from the field and scored in double figures 19 times on a team that finished with 19 wins.
According to Tipton, Reneau initially committed to Florida with Mike White but reopened his recruitment when White became the coach at Georgia. He has a strong relationship with the Georgia coaching staff.
When he played in the AAU circuit while still in high school, he was with Nightrydas Elite. The guy that was affiliated with them at the time was, Andrew Moran, and he is expected to join the Canes staff soon.
According to the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings, Reneau is ranked as the No. 6 overall prospect and the No. 2 forward.
