The Miami Hurricanes coaching staff is on the move again, reaching out to Maryland guard transfer Rodney Rice through the portal.
On Monday afternoon, Sam Kayser from Twitter shared that nearly 20 schools, including the Miami Hurricanes, have shown interest in Maryland transfer guard Rodney Rice since he entered the transfer portal.
Rice joined the Virginia Tech Hokies but played in just eight games before transferring closer to home in March 2024 after taking a break in October 2023.
This season, Rodney scored an average of 13.8 points, grabbed 2.2 rebounds, and made 2.1 assists per game, while hitting 37.4% of his 3-point shots on 5.9 attempts and sinking 81.4% of his free throws.
Rice early list includes several Power Five programs, such as Miami, Indiana, Washington, DePaul, Virginia, Stanford, UConn, Ole Miss, Villanova, NC State, Kansas State, USC, Providence, Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio State, Louisville, Kansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas Tech, BYU, and Gonzaga.
