The transfer contact keeps rolling in for Miami basketball. Next up, Georgia State transfer Zarique Nutter.



Nutter, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound combo guard told On3 that Miami's coaching staff reached out on Friday evening. Nutter averaged 14.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 29 games as a senior during the 2024-25 season.

He started 13 games and averaged 26.6 minutes per contest. Nutter has also heard from St John's, Texas, Georgia, UCLA, TCU, Washington State, Ole Miss, Richmond, Virginia Tech and USC per On3.

Miami has been busy in the portal. Lucas has also contacted South Dakota transfer guard Chase Forte.

According to the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings, Nutter is ranked as the No. 29 overall prospect and the No. 2 combo guard.

One of my favorites of the guys that have entered so far. Has real length and athleticism. Best fit is more of a wing than a guard imo, don’t know that he has the quickness to deal with some of the guards in conference.
