BOOM! The Miami Hurricanes basketball team just landed 6-foot-5, 190-pound, four-star guard Matthew Able out of Sagemont Prep School (Fort Lauderdale).

Able just came off of a visit to Miami less than a week ago. He is the #64 player in the nation according to 247Sports. On the 247 Composite, which aggregates the various recruiting services, Able is considered a three-star. However, it’s anticipated that his standing in the recruiting world will rise significantly in the near future.

He has been performing exceptionally in the summer basketball leagues, scoring 29 and 28 points in the summer league AAU games. Consequently, he has gotten offers from schools like Baylor and Wake Forest.

Great range. I also love that he’s right handed and repeatedly dunks with his left hand. Finishing at the rim with either hand is so valuable and saves a lot of shots from being blocked.

Didn’t see much about how he handles the ball but he looks like a prototypical 2 guard/small forward.

Another excellent FT shooter too -- 87%. Always pleased to see that.
