Miami Hurricanes' head coach Mario Cristobal gave his press conference today, addressing the decision to run a play, instead of kneeling at the end of the game against Georgia Tech. The conversation provided an insight into the mindset of the team, coach's responsibilities, and their preparation for the upcoming matchup against 12th-ranked and undefeated UNC.

Following a tough loss the previous weekend, Cristobal was quick to acknowledge the team's resilience during a lackluster performance vs. Georgia Tech, stating, "defense played really, really well." However, despite their solid defensive effort prior to the game-winning touchdown for the Jackets, the offense was "a little bit out of sorts." Cristobal took responsibility for not making the right call to kneel the ball and said, "I made the wrong call. I take full ownership."

Cristobal emphasized the team's positive attitude, mentioning that both players and coaches were eager to "get right back to work" and focus on improvement. When probed about the Don Chaney, Jr. run which was controversially called a fumble, Cristobal revealed that the team hadn't received any clarity from the ACC.

On addressing the late-game decisions, Cristobal explained the process in making these decisions and candidly admitted that he should've made the call to take a knee, thereby acknowledging his oversight.

On bouncing back and facing a challenging team on the road in the Tar Heels, Cristobal stressed the importance of honesty, transparency, and accountability. Drawing parallels between football and life, he stated, "we owe it to ourselves...to demand the best, the absolute truth from each other."

Looking back at the season's progression, Cristobal highlighted the moments of growth and development, despite the focus often being on Saturday’s heartbreaking loss. He appreciated the team's eagerness and drive, emphasizing the importance of bouncing back strong as a key component of Miami's tradition.

Focusing on the upcoming challenge, Cristobal had high praise for the Mack Brown-led Tarheels, calling them a "talent-laden" team. He recognized their quarterback's dynamic skills and stressed the need for Miami to be disciplined in their approach.

Cristobal concluded by appreciating the progress made over time and emphasized the importance of recruiting talented players who are not just skillful but also hard working and competitive.

So what is the use of getting a "South Florida HC" if he can't call a former South Florida Football Supervisor of Officials?!?

More Morio...
Miami was cheated.

The referees deliberately skewed the results against Miami tbe entire game. Combined with Miami's miscues and we have the result on Saturday night.

**** those referees. **** the ACC.

Miami needs to depart the ACC for any chance at fairness.
