Summary/highlights
  • We're not trending the right direction with Stewart.
  • Stone is going to be a battle
  • Looking like O$U is trending to have the best DL right now, but this could change if Miami has a good season
  • Unsure when Jones will commit. If he were to commit on the 4th, that would favor Miami
  • Jones at the top of the list we're trending well with.
  • Trader & Patterson's recruitment going well.
  • Plazz in a great spot here. Could be next in line to commit.
  • Cole had a great visit, unclear how long his eval process will be, drew parallel with long recruitment cycle of Samson

Trader looked really good at WR in camp. He's making a leap and he was already good.
Good to see the ship righting for him and recruitment

I was actually hoping he would commit early back to last year the way he was trending to us. You’ll get your Jeremiah Smith types here and there but Trader always felt more like a Sony Michel type where we would really need to drop the ball to lose him

I could be way off the mark there though either way he needs to be a Cane

If the message board chatter about O$U being willing to significantly overpay for DL recruits this cycle is true and if what D$ previously saying that Miami would be willing to do what is necessary in this recruitment, then we better be prepared to back up a second brinks truck if that's what it takes for Stewart.

Now if the issue causing him to trend elsewhere is something other than money, gotta get that rectified ASAP.

From D’S post earlier it seems teams are waiting for us to offer our NIL first then counter offer…we need to send a message to taint in this recruitment. drive the price up so high that it makes them spend all their money if they want to sign him. Either we win the battle outright or we cripple their NIL efforts for the rest of this cycle.
