After a dominant 41-17 victory over Florida, the Miami Hurricanes rose in both major college football polls released Tuesday.

Miami climbed seven spots to No. 12 in the Associated Press Top 25, which marked the highest ranking in the poll since December 2020.

The Hurricanes also jumped to No. 15 in the US LBM Coaches Poll after starting the year listed at No. 19.

Miami is one of five Atlantic Coast Conference teams to appear in the rankings, joined alongside No. 22/No. 24 Louisville, No. 23/RV Georgia Tech, No. 24/No. 23 NC State and No. 25/No.22 Clemson.

The Hurricanes welcome Florida A&M to Hard Rock Stadium Saturday. Miami’s home opener is scheduled for 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.

Everything is in place for us to be a top 5 team if we just take care of our business.

But it’s pretty clear these in state schools aren’t going to help our strength of schedule none.
