GAMEDAY: Miami Basketball Returns to Action at the Watsco Center vs. Binghamton
Miami began their 2024-25 season with a 113-72 victory against FDU. Today, we have another opportunity to see them in action as Binghamton travels to Coral Gables for a 2 PM EST tip-off at the Watsco Center.
In the season opener against FDU, Miami had a fantastic shooting performance, making 67% of their field goals as a team. The Canes scored 66 of their 113 points in the paint.

Chance Mallory was on campus
After departing from the Virginia Cavaliers just over two weeks ago, four-star point guard Chance Mallory took an unofficial visit to Miami this week.
The 5-foot-9 guard shared some photos on his Instagram:
On Tuesday, Washington Wizards rookie and former Miami Hurricane, Kyshawn George went nose-to-nose with Warriors star Draymond Green.
“That’s the first time we’ve seen a Washington Wizards team play that hard in years, and it’s because of [Bub and Kyshawn's] energy," Draymond Green said post-game.
George posted 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists on 7-19 shooting including 6-17 from the three-point line. This was George's third start of the year in six games.
Kyshawn George and Draymond Green jawed back and forth all night. According to Draymond, Kyshawn told him, “You can’t shoot.”
Draymond responded: “When you were in elementary school, you were watching me win a championship and people were thinking that same thing.”
Kyshawn: “Yeah, I don’t care.”
