Today was a big day for New York RB/FB Augustus Edwards, as he took in visits from both Miami and Florida State.
"Florida State came in first, then Miami. Both went pretty well, we're very informative. I feel really good about both of them, I'm just weighing my options."
The 'Canes sent Head Coach Al Golden, Offensive Coordinator James Coley, and Running Backs Coach Terry Richardson up to meet with him. Edwards feels like it was good that all three were in on the visit. Another part of the equation is that Coley was Edwards' main recruiter when he was at Florida State.
"That was really important. Coach Coley was telling me that he's a big part of his plan at Miami and he still likes me as a player."
Edwards will be on the Miami campus this upcoming weekend for an official visit. What is he looking forward to?
"I'm looking forward to meeting the whole coaching staff."
The versatile back likes the direction the Miami program is headed in.
"They've been selling me on the history, the academics, and we're they're headed. They have a really good recruiting class and had a great one last year too."
**Edwards compares his style to James Wilder, Jr. of Florida State.
**His final two are Miami and Florida State and he will announce his final decision on National Signing Day.
