After reclassifying from the Class of 2025, Armondo Blount played his entire freshman year of college at 17-years-old. He met with reporters as he enters Year 2 at Miami:

On his first season:  I really just mainly watched the older guys that we had in front of me learning the game and expanding my knowledge with football overall.

TB [Tyler Baron], that was my guy. He used to help me with a lot of things, with my hand placement and everything. Just learning more about football overall, he helped me in practice and with film.

On Coach Hetherman’s defense:  I like the defense. It’s an aggressive defense. I’m just ready to get into it and learn more about it. That's all we're doing right now.

On what he’s working on:  Things like the run game, learning more about pass, learning more about the coverages, knowing why offenses do certain things, learning keys about where the offense is going and things like that.

Just overall learning more about football, not just D line, so I can have a better football IQ. I'll ask the linebacker, “What are you doing on this? Who’s doing this?” I’ll ask the DB, ”What you got on this?”

On his academics: School hasn’t really been a problem for me. I’ve still got a 3.7. I’m taking psychology for my major.

I'm taking classes that I'm interested in and just trying to expand my knowledge about more things in the world. Not just football.

I hope he didn't learn setting the edge from TB. I don't think TB knows what that is.

This guy(Tyler Baron)was as close to unblockable as anyone I have ever seen for the first 3-4 games of the season. After that, well, you all have eyes and saw and what I saw, so.......
