Cook Set for American Heritage

2014 Miami Central (Fla.) running back Dalvin Cook helped secure the 44-13 win over Dwyer with two touchdowns. Now the focus turns to next week when the Rockets take on American Heritage.

“We know what we are capable of doing, we just have to limit the flags and we still have to execute and just try to keep the refs out of the way of our game.”

Cook is excited to play against not only another top ranked team, but matched up against one of the top running backs in the nation in Sony Michel.

“It just brings a rush to me and tells me I need to bring my A game, but I know I have to step it up for next week and try to make some plays.”

The Florida commitment remains strong in his pledge to the gators and is excited to watch them this season.

“I’m solid with Florida right now.”

The 6’0 210 pound running back is looking to attend as many home games for Florida as he can, but is also looking to make some visits to other schools.

As of now, there is only one official visit booked so far for a Big 12 program.

“The only one I know of really is Texas because that’s already set up for when I finish the Coral Reef game.”

There are surely other schools in the mix for officials including the Alabama Crimson Tide.

“It’s a great program and I just feel like they should have a shot and thats why I’m gonna take an official out there.”

One school many are wondering about is the hometown university of Miami and where they stand with Cook.

“I still talk to them, they’re recruiting me hard. You know my partner in the backfield, he is committed to UM so it’s tough.”

Many are wondering if the Hurricanes can sway the Central star enough to possibly lock up an official visit.

“I’m not sure yet, but they might be good for one.”

While both Miami commits Trevor Darling and Joe Yearby are doing what they can to try and get Cook to switch to the orange and green, they don’t pressure Cook and let him go through the process.

“They just let everything play out and they let everything handle itself and they don’t put any pressure on me.”

Joseph Yearby + Brandon Powell = I dont care if Miami gets another rb in this class or not.

Thanks for the interview.

I don't see him ending up at Miami no matter how good we do this season.

I'm on dat Leonard Fournette train now.

/until Cook visits

Would be thrilled to have him but feels like he's this year's Matt Thomas/Rashard Robinson.

I don't feel he's coming but I won't mind if he flips. I've entered the hopeful stage with Cook just like MT.

Kid is an elite talent, want badly. Still happy with Yearby and Powell, but cook takes that RB class to a different level.

No offense Tito, but please stop asking about Miami. He is going to give the same generic answers he gives you, Pete, and whomever else interviews him. Let's wait until later on in the season for another interview. Just my opinion. I feel like you could be interviewing other guys and or commits already. Ask they why they stuck with UM.

We need another every down horse. Powell is lightning in a bottle but he is more of situational guy.

Cook still doesn't look very natural to me at RB. I think Yearby was clearly the better RB

6' 210 lbs? First time I've seen him listed that big.

LMAO at some of you guys saying Dalvin is a situational guy. He needs to quit flipping in endzones causing some of those flags as well

Reggie Bush-esque, I told him that after the game and he said "That's sounds pretty nice."

Only people that said that were Noles and Gators that were hating. Duke always was a physical runner but got labeled a scat back because of his size. Powell is nowhere as physical of a runner like Duke, and even Duke at this point ain't a 30 carry per game back yet.
