After Miami secured three consecutive commitments in three days, the Canes coaching staff shows no signs of slowing down. They have already reached out to Chattanooga point guard transfer Honor Huff since he entered the transfer portal.
The Portal Report on Twitter reports that Miami was one of several schools that reached out to Huff since he officially entered the transfer portal. After two seasons at Chattanooga, the 5-foot-10 guard is seeking to spend his final college season at a high-major program. According to The Portal Report, St. John's, Vanderbilt, Iowa, Florida State, Memphis, Kansas, Alabama, Auburn, NC State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Xavier, South Carolina, and many other top programs have shown interest in him.
In the 2024-25 season, Huff played in all 38 games for Chattanooga, starting in 36 of them. He averaged 15.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.1 blocks, and 0.9 steals over 36.5 minutes per game. His shooting stats included 42.4 percent from the field, 41.6 percent from beyond the arc, and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line.
He led the nation in three-pointers made with 131 three-pointers in the 2024-25 season.
