The Canes were already looking for CB help in the Portal, and now they have another spot in the depth chart with the transfer of Robert Stafford.

The 5'11, 180-pound athlete from Melbourne FL (Eau Gallie) was unable to earn consistent playing as he transitioned from being primarily an offensive player in high school. He chose Miami over Arkansas as a four-star high school prospect.

For his Miami career, Stafford had 7 tackles and 1 catch for 7 yards.

Stafford's backup needs to start the bowl game.

(Did I do it right?)
Put in the backup
Fire the corch
Fire the Coordinators
So-and-so just needs more burn
Bad eval
No player duhvelopment

These are the comments that generally get me to stop reading further. Here's the thing - unless the person making those claims is actually on the practice field, in the film rooms, in the team meetings, etc, those statements I listed are just old, tired, clichéd and lazy. That's not to say that there aren't cases where those statements are true. It is to say that they're so overused that they've become like a dog whistle. Also, if anyone has had to fire an employee before, especially if it's a higher-up, the firing is the easy part. Finding, recruiting, signing and keeping the replacement is the hard part.
