2013 Southridge (Fla.) Safety Jamal Carter missed the playoffs this year with his Spartans, however Carter is planning on staying in shape to prepare for his career at Miami.
“I’m gonna be doing Track now and I’m going to start working out on the weekends with some friends.”
Carter is one of the many current commits that can’t wait to step onto the Miami campus.
“I'm very excited, I’m just ready to get there. I just wanna see how we are going to come together and how we are going to grow.”
Carter does have a visit for Miami planned in January and remains a solid pledge to the 'Canes despite other schools still in contact.
“My level of commitment is the same as before, a hundred percent.”
He also gave his feelings on the recent news of Miami taking a second straight bowl ban.
“They probably did that for a reason, so I just won’t say anything about that.”
The Southridge Safety talked about what he will bring to Miami once he gets on campus.
“I’m really just going to try to be the best that I can ever be, try to bring my talent to them and hopefully everybody can play on the level that I want to play on.”
While Carter is excited to play alongside some great defenders at Miami, he is particularly excited to play with another current Miami commit in Artie Burns.
“Well we have played against each other for two years now, so to finally play alongside him is going to be a lot of fun.”
