Alex Collins: Miami has continued to put the full-court press on Collins despite his de-commitment last month. RB Coach Terry Richardson and OC Jedd Fisch both gave him an in-home visit recently and he was in attendance for Miami's basketball game against Michigan State. At the game, he sat with Duke Johnson, Deon Bush, Tracy Howard amongst others. Coach Golden was also seen having conversations with him. Like I said a couple weeks ago, Miami will not give up without a major push, but FSU is still the team to beat as of today.

Derrick Green: Miami was hot on Green's trail for a while up until last week when two in-home visits were "scheduled" and then did not happen due to a "mix up of dates" according to Green. My initial reaction from Green's comment was that it's very unlike this particular staff to get dates confused considering how organized the are on the recruiting trail. The staff could feel confident on Collins is my number one guess, or else the would have made it to those visits.

Coley now a viable target with AJL not qualified yet.
Angelo Jean-Louis (commit): As DMoney posted last week, there are some rumblings that AJL is not completely qualified yet, which is not a good sign this late in the process. Word is that Jean-Louis needs to pass the ACT, but he will only have one shot to take it before it's time to enroll in January. If he doesn't get the score he needs, then he would most likely need to do another semester in Prep school if he wants to play at Miami. His commitment is as solid as it gets right now, but we will see what happens as his time to enroll comes near.

Stacy Coley: Another interesting piece of information that was first reported by CanesInSight last week (http://canesinsight.co/showthread.php?39747-Some-things-I-heard-today) was the fact that Miami is squarely in the race for phenom receiver, Stacy Coley. It is tough to get a really good read on what's going on in Coley's mind considering he doesn't do many interviews, but I've been told for months that FSU was right near the top of his list. One thing that Miami has going for them is the fact that former 'Cane Donnell Bennett is his head coach. Coley hasn't focused much on the recruiting process, but that will change now down the stretch.

Jeremy Kerr (commit): FSU is starting to show interest in him as an offensive lineman. Their staff has gone to see him play a couple times this year. I still look at him as a tight end because I don't think he has the frame to become a lineman down the line. (100%)
Beau Sandland: Sandland was a recruit that I didn't know how much of a shot Miami had before his visit this past weekend, but it seems as though the visit has put Miami right in the running. Looking at his other options, none of them really have a distinct lead over another so that is a positive for Miami. I expect the 'Canes to make his final three and then from there we will see what happens. Looks like a toss-up at this point

Keith Bryant (commit): Bryant isn't making it easy on 'Canes fans down the stretch. His flirtation with the 'Noles has reached new heights over the past two weeks. Keith met with Coach Carroll and Coach Franklin last night and I'm told this meeting was successful. I'm also told that current 'Canes players are reaching out to Keith in an effort to secure his commitment. The good sign for Miami right now is that Bryant has not de-committed. Things looking up here
Alex Figueroa: The VA product was a "surprise" visitor for Miami this weekend and committed upon receiving the offer. I absolutely love the pickup. Figueroa weighed in at about 6'2.5", 218 this weekend and has a very nice frame to add more weight. His versatility and athleticism is reminiscent of a "poor mans" Matthew Thomas. He will be able to contribute right away on special teams and add much-needed LB depth.
12/3: 100%
Matthew Thomas: A source close to the situation told me yesterday that Miami is the team to beat right now with FSU in 2nd. USF as a dark horse can now be thrown out the window with Skip Holtz's firing. The source told me that Stoops leaving FSU had an impact on this movement so it will be interesting to see who the 'Noles replace him with. One big thing for FSU's chances is the fact that James Coley will reportedly stay at the school. Coley is Thomas' main recruiter for Florida State.
