RB (1)

Alex Collins: Miami is definitely trending upwards with Collins over the past few weeks, but he has not made his decision yet. A source close to the situation tells me that he legitimately does not know where he is going, but Florida people I have talked to do not feel like they are still in the picture and Florida State has been a longshot ever since Eddie Gran left. He will be at Arkansas next week after visiting Miami this weekend.

WR (0-1)
The attention is all on Coley here. It's him or bust.

Stacy Coley: After George McDonald's departure, Brennan Carroll has taken up the recruitment of Coley, who visited Florida State this weekend. The 'Noles are Miami's biggest competition right now in what is a even battle.

TE (3)

Standish Dobard (commit): Visited this weekend and got the news today that he will be able to enroll early. (100%)

Jeremy Kerr (commit): Mario Cristobal gave him a visit this week so that is most likely a sign that Miami still wants him in the class, contrary to other reports. It's not out of the question he winds up at Florida State, though. (70%)

Beau Sandland (commit) : Sandland has enrolled at Miami.

DT (1-2)

Keith Bryant: Your guess is as good as mine here. He has visited Miami and Florida State officially now, but wasn't giving anything away to fellow recruits this weekend. He roomed with Standish Dobard this weekend so that might help. If his family truly wants Miami, I like the 'Canes chances. He insisted to me today that his mom has no preference where he goes, but only time will tell.

Jaynard Bostwick: We all know there's been a lot of questions over the past few months about his academic situation. Well now I'm told from a very reliable source that he is good-to-go in this regard. This is coming from the same source that said Ivery and Briscoe would qualify when most said they wouldn't. Nobody knows for sure when it comes to grades, but this is from someone close to the situation.

Matthew Thomas: There was a lot of talk this week about Thomas flip-flopping back-and-forth between a Miami official and a USC official, which is the one he eventually took. Thomas will still visit Miami in some capacity and there is talk he might be on campus for the basketball game against Duke on Wednesday. It's still not out of the question that he could official. Either way, it will be a major battle with Florida State down the stretch.

Rashard Robinson: The LSU commit Robinson took his second unofficial to Miami this weekend, as he came down Saturday night to hang out with fellow recruits. Miami has felt good about flipping him since the beginning, so these next two weeks will be interesting. Even if he does flip, we will have to see if he qualifies.

Thomas and Collins are the most important kids left on the board. those guys are 1a and 1b. HAVE to get BOTH

I think we will but will be sweating it out until signing day. really need to get 6 here on an OV. idk why he is ******* around with that

Alex Collins situation is VERY strange.

I can understand recruits being pulled by 2 different schools 2-3 weeks from NSD, but truly being undecided there are outside influences messing with him.

Its very obvious he is giving Bret Bielema a chance for "some reason".

High school coaches need to understand that
1. college football is not the NFL and you are not guaranteed the kid a contract or playing time.
2. College coaches have a better idea of what to do with the talent vs a high school coach (hence the job title)

I was hoping for a much better news on AC over this weekend but only few more weeks!

I think 6 wants that ticket to the Duke game is all. If he's all Cane only makes sense he would be hyped to go. I feel like we're the leader if he visits Wednesday. If he's shown mad love and we win I say we got him locked. Imagine him walkin out the BUC with all the fans chanting It's great to be a Miami Hurricane.

He wants to start as a true freshman. But he is realizing that there is no team that will just hand a player a starting position. There is competition
Every school he is looking at would have a competition to see who starts in 2013.
This is not a knock on Collins as I would do the same thing. I would go to a program in the power 6 conferences that offer the most playing time. The game is different these days 5* and 4* players are willing to sit for 2-3yrs instead of play. Its like man I came to college to play not ride the bench. That's also why I don't get why 5* dlineman are not salivating at the opportunity Miami could give them after last season. idk if he realizes that duke isn't a every down back so there would be ample opportunity for playing time here.

that is correct..Duke is NOT an every down back. If you play him ever down he will get tired and won't be able to run up and down the field. He is a huge playmaker and he needs his rest.

Mike James was a perfect fit with Duke. We need a runner that can run right at a defender vs go around him and AC is that guy for us.

Burns & Collins with the DBs we've already got = scary. Just need to get Bostick & Bryant, coupled with Big 6 & Grace = #Canes6thRingOTW

How different things are a couple of years into Golden's tenure. Nearly every one of our commits had legitimate offers from Top 10 schools. Meanwhile, we stopped recruiting Bain and he's at LSU. We lost out on Williams (while getting AQM and Bond), and he's at Bama... I guess we're no longer relegated to losing kids to USF and being happy we took kids from the likes of Buffalo.

So now all we're waiting on is the So FL kids. While I don't expect to get them all, you have to like our chances to get at least 5 of the 8. And a clean sweep isn't a pipe dream. Grace, Bostwick and Kirkland seem strongest from everything being reported. Kirkland and momma will keep Thomas home. And in a Miami vs. Arkansas battle for Collins -- he will be wearing a Canes hat come February. Of the three others, Bryant and Coley seem like toss-ups, Robinson an outside shot. Again, given their home zip codes, I wouldn't bet against AG.

Lulz at Duke makes to many big plays to be an every down back.Every RB to ever play needs a back up.Duke will be on the field 85% of the time regardless.IMO
