Miami quarterback Cam Ward has been selected as a top quarterback in college football ahead of Week 9.

Ward ranks as the second-best quarterback in the nation according to On3. The Washington State transfer quarterback is rated as the No. 2 ahead of Week 9 just behind Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Cam Ward has thrown for 2,538 yards this season with 25 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions.

Here is what On3 had to say about Ward:

“Cam Ward is regarded by most as the best quarterback in college football and is the current frontrunner at the position to win the Heisman Trophy. He put together another gem last weekend when he threw for 319 yards and four touchdowns in a shootout win over Louisville.”

Cam Ward also just inked in a NIL Deal with Adidas.

Which marked the third college athlete to sign with Adidas NIL, following the signings of former Washington stars Michael Penix Jr. and Rome Odunze.

Sanders is 6’3 215 and has a QBR of 72.3, which is 34th in the country. He’s got a grand total of -19 rushing yards. Ward is 6’2” 225 with a 92.3 QBR, #1 in the country. Rushed for 190 yards so far on the season. Anyone who has Sanders ranked above Ward is smoking crack.

Cam save yourself...do not go to the Carolina Panthers PLEASE.

In fairness to Sanders, he is playing behind a terrible O-line.

These ninjaz need to be shot out of a canon; and then drawn and quartered by the finest of mid-evil steeds; if they really think Shepuke Flanders is better than Cam motha ****** Ward.

I think alot of the metrics are giving Sanders alot of grace because of his OL and extreme lack of a running game. The ole, "If you put Shadeur on that UM team he would put up the same numbers if not better" BS. Which isnt fair to Cam. But such is life.

His OL isnt nearly as bad as last year. But if they need to use that to pump him up more make yourself happy.

If Sanders is lucky he will be about like Jameis Winston in the NFL. Winston got away with a lot of ridiculous things during college because of guys like Leary and the two good WR's they had.

Look, I have no issue with Sanders! I, however, believe Cam because of being the Miami QB, he is getting bias and etc. Cam put up numbers at Incarnate Word! He put up numbers in two season with a bad Oline at Washington State. He gets to Miami putting up 1# numbers in severely categories, he magically is getting put down because of Miami talent. Cam came back to college because of his grade for the NFL. He has shown leadership, 4th qtr last minute drives and NFL throws. Now, Miami and he are show cased big time.

Good luck proving that nonsense behind a screen, away from Deion's nether region.

Cam has looked like the top QB so far. What I’m impressed with is him being on a new team, with new coaches, and new play book, and looking like he been here 2-3 years. For perspective it Took Joe Borrow and Jaden Daniels 2 years to look comfortable in LSU system and put up heisman numbers.
