The first two weeks of the 2024 season couldn't have gone much better for Cam Ward.

Ward ranks as the second-best quarterback in the nation according to ESPN's QBR metric. The Washington State transfer boasts an impressive score of 94.9, which places him just behind UConn's Joe ***nano. Ward has the highest QBR in the ACC.

His traditional stats are just as impressive. Ward has thrown 46 completions on 61 attempts, racking up 689 passing yards along with six touchdowns and one interception. On the ground, he's carried the ball seven times for 46 rushing yards and added another touchdown to his tally.

He still believes there is room for improvement.

“We’re not even close to playing our best football,” he told reporters. “If you go back and really watch the tape from the first game, I would say there was a minimum of ten bad plays just from a quarterback and receiver standpoint.”

Here is a top-10 look at the quarterbacks with the highest QBR ratings:

Should we just use Wazzu as a farm team for our QBs, seeing John Mateer on there too? haha

46 of 61 completions. That's PlayStation type stuff. Glad for Cam and more importantly, the fan base.
