Another HUGE pickup!! I remember not too long ago we were lucky to get two 2-stars on the OL. In the past week, we've picked up two 4-stars! Now we need to translate this success on the field, and we can finally say we're back. IMO, the on-field results will come this year with at least 11 wins...

They’re here. They’re all here or will be. Not all Mopes are created in the same image. We have our moral Mope gawds too. Those conscientious objectors to the years of whitewashing for UM football who have seen and shown the rest of us the light and in whose paths we follow.

All Hail!

And in the name of whatever Abrahamic deity you choose, can I get an Amen?
I’m in…sorry can’t get the booty gifs out of my mind, I meant Amen!

Three Top 100 commits in one week is spectacular.

How many Top 100 commits you can land is usually one of the stronger metrics in determining the strength of a recruiting class.

Across several regimes pre-Mario, our blue-chip ratio was inflated because we loaded up on players right on the borderline between high 3*’s and low 4*’s. Not enough emphasis was placed on the gap between a Top 100 player and a low 4* when recruiting classes were being discussed on the board.

Alofaituli and Buchanan are a tremendous duo to land along the interior OL. Top-tier recruiting.
Funny that you bring this up… was just writing a piece about this.

Mario has signed 14 top 100 players in 3 years (chances are we add 7-10 this cycle)

How does that compare?

- Manny signed 6 in 3 years 💩
- Richt signed 12 in 4 years 🤢
- Golden signed 11 in 5 years🤮

The "When are we Back" question was asked on a previous thread with many different scenarios and many being cautious of being too hasty but I would agree that an 11-win season coupled with a top 5 class at bare minimum makes us relevant again for the foreseeable future.

Golden's 11 in 5 years is way more impressive than Richt's 12 in 4 years considering the circumstances.

11 wins and a playoff spot. But really we are back when we can have sustained success and be a playoff contender yearly. Mario may not be Vince Lombardi but if he can stack talent like this yearly we are going to be too talented not to win enough to get in the playoff yearly. As Kiffin put it Nick Saban had the best players every year besides the first year at Alabama and when Georgia matched his talent and depth.

This is what we hired this guy for...this is his bread and butter. **** impressive and 100% fulfilling those expectations. What's wild is that this is his alma mater he's selling, not FIU, or Bama, nor F'ing Oregon, its HOME. I can only imagine this is going to get better. Go Canes.

Thread senselessly turning into a mope vs slurper thread?

Sigh
People love to attack “mopes” in commitment threads that should be celebrated by everyone that’s a canes fan, even moreso than actually celebrate the additions.

Really a sad sight. This coaching tenure is more polarizing than any I’ve seen prior, but that’s the nature of the beast when you have incredible success off the field with so much potential, and yet not much on it (to date).

Now it’s time to achieve that potential and win some **** games with this elite talent we continue to stockpile, much credit to Mario and his relentless work ethic + recruiting savviness.

We've haven't had a stretch like this in a long, long time. There's been one class here and there, but every other coach has followed that up with absolute stinkers.

If we actually put a double digit win season together Mario will cement the #1 class in the nation, no kool aid. Absolutely book it. We just need to actually hit 10 wins and make a run and we're in contention for the next several years. Get it done.

If anyone is looking for a comp for this guy, evaluators tell me it's Jim Otto and Chuck Bednarik.
