The Canes landed one of the best athletes in Florida with the signing of ATH Bryce Fitzgerald. The 6'1, 175-pounder picked off 10 passes last year for a state champion Columbus team, while also scoring multiple TDs as a receiver, returner, and defender.

Fitzgerald ran one of the faster combine times in the South with a 4.48 forty. He chose Miami over FSU and LSU and is considered the #133 overall player in the country.

In addition to his football exploits, Fitzgerald is also a skilled basketball player. He put up 11.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.5 steals as a sophomore on Belen Jesuit's state title team, and will return to the hardwood as a senior on a loaded Columbus squad featuring the top-rated Boozer twins.

I don't like hearing the red flags regarding physicality and not being a natural CB. Sounds like he's a great athlete but no real position.

Please don't waste time trying to force him at Safety.

Should be a WR but I would try CB

Pete had a good comparision of CJ Henderson. Athlete and ball skills but refuses to tackle.

I see it. CJ played RB in high school so i think his toughness was a little more legit

We need as many athletes in that secondary as possible. Defensive staff are paid to figure out what to do with him. Go figure it out.

We have to take flyers on kids like that
Exactly. Worth the gamble. If he flames out though, we'll hear a lot of "told you so". If he went somewhere else those same people would likely also be the first to say how the staff whiffed and should have secured him.

There are some great Corners that don’t love to tackle. If he can cover at a high level, nobody will care.
