He’s no LB running a 5 flat 40. He’s a DE in the mold of Toolbox. Toolbox wasn’t a OLB either.

A 3-4 OLB and DE and both Edge rushers...they essentially have the same role, except occasionally a 3-4 OLB will drop into coverage. That's why 3-4 NFL teams are looking at Trent Harris as an edge rusher.

I think he's a better fit here. He really could develop as a pass rusher like Trent Harris, and he's used to being a 4-3 DE.

He'll struggle in space as a 3-4 OLB. He ran a 4.95 40 at the Nike combine. He needs to be playing with his hand in the ground, at least in college.

Who knows what he's being sold on by Mullen though

Brother you know id love to tell yall whatever went down the whole weekend. But we all know that aint possible. I will say except the hickup with pink & someone else on friday this weekend went AMAZING for us. Please respect we cant talk about any more than that on here. For once we all gonna have to just respect that. By the way what i said about chatfield came straight from someone who would know the exact story. Also said jits a lil short of a full deck. He doesn't fit a 4-3 or 3-4. But in a 3-4 he doesn't have to go head up with a o-linemen every play.

Word on the street is TC is going to UGA, but we remain very much in the mix for Surtain. For some reason, most CB's have Coburn going to Texas even though a lot of CB's were switched re: Chatfield from us to UF. Chatman to us seems likely. There is some serious dissonance between AI and DSJ/Dee when it comes to these cats.

Oh no doubt, I'm relatively new to CIS, but I've learned who is good with the info and whatnot. If Dee says we're getting one or both of the corners then I'm buying it. And I know he's posted on another site that we're good, so I think we're good. Just giving a brief recap to calinative.
