Lamar Brown, one of the top prospects in the 2026 class, has locked in a visit to Miami.

According to a post by On3's Hunter Shelton, Brown is expecting to be on Miami's campus from (May 30-June 1). After the Canes visit, he will then take three more visits to Florida State (June 6-8), Texas A&M (June 13-15) and LSU (June 20-22).

Brown is 6-foot-4, 275-pound and rated rated as the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2026. He hails from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he plays football at University Lab. He ranks as the No. 8 player in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Louisiana.

There has been no commitment date set yet for the 5-star prospect.

Brown is seeing interest from LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, UCF, Miami, Florida State, Arkansas, and many others.

Take a look at Browns film:

Imagine if we could confidently say that about Miami area kids. :/
I agree but Miami isn’t a college town.

The people in Los Angeles say the same thing we do.

As do the basketball schools in NYC.

City kids are always going to be more willing to leave home. They are raised that way, and have less loyalty because the city universities are not all encompassing as they are in small and college towns. I grew up in Ann Arbor. We were taught Hail to the Victors in 2nd grade. In 7th grade the Friday school assemblies started with a prediction of the Michigan game score from our civics teacher, and the Monday assemblies started with a recounting of the Saturday game. I played basketball and just to be in the same gym as a Michigan player was everything to us.

No big city university will ever have that level of specific school culture.

Straight from the 2026 4* OL Lamar Brown's mouth

This kid aint leaving Baton Rouge

Don't be to quick to stand on the statement. A lot of the things he wants in a university & environment he can find at Miami.

Some kids wanna leave home and see new things… who knows recruit him hard and see what happens.

Besides the portal is a real thing and leaving a great impression if we don’t sign him initially doesn’t mean he doesn’t poke around later.
