247Sports released a list of All-Impact team recruits who can be factors in the 2025 season. That list includes four-star Miami linebacker Kellen Wiley.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Seffner (Armwood) product chose the Hurricanes over Texas. According to 247Sports, he's ranked as the No. 27 linebacker in the '25 recruiting cycle and a Top 250 overall player in the country.

Here's what 247Sports had to say about Wiley:

"There's an open spot atop Miami's linebacker depth chart with Francisco Mauigoa moving on. And while there is some experience already in the room, there's an opportunity for someone like Kellen Wiley to emerge as an instant contributor."

Wiley finished his final season at Armwood High School with 75 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks. The only returner starter in Miami's linebacker room is veteran Wesley Bissainthe. Third-year player Raul Aguirre is also returning.

He has a direct path to a starting gig if he can learn the playbook and adjust to the speed of the college game. Physically he is good to go.

I’m not penciling in anyone at any position based on freak athleticism.
Especially, at positions where lack of football IQ will make a 4.3 forty useless.
This is why we always turn on this program and coaches.
Can we teach it and can they learn it.
Will they work on it obsessively?
Will they only depend on their athletic ability and believe it will continue to work because it’s taken them this far?
Are they coachable?
Etc etc.
He’s a prototypical first rounder in measurables and we should continue to recruit players like him. But if the diagnosing of plays or anticipation isn’t there then we will be talking about Willie Williams part 2.

Yep. If it were all about it freak athleticism Bobby Washington would be an all-American by now lol

That’s a freak cause he runs in a straight line fast?

I think it’s a bit more than that, frame, speed, quickness, measurable, arm length, size, change of direction, explosiveness. There are way more factors and I never considered Bobby an athletic freak. But maybe that’s just me.

Big pause for a lot of the **** I wrote

Can’t wait for spring practice… have a feeling we’re gonna be hearing this kid is all over the field turning heads.

Yup. If you can't diagnose the play in a split second, 4.3 forty and 240 lbs are virtually useless.
