2015 ATH Cronkrite recaps his summer

For a young high school football player, getting to visit numerous BCS schools in about a week and a half is a dream come true.

But for 2015 Westminster Christian (Fla.) ATH Jordan Cronkrite, that dream became a reality.

"One of the best parts of my summer was going on that college trip I went on last week. I was able to go to Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and a lot of other SEC schools." said Cronkrite

But seeing all of that football royalty can be overwhelming and for some it may be hard to find one in particular that stuck out.

"Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Clemson stuck out the most." said Cronkrite.

But are the hometown 'Canes getting left in the dust for this rising prospect?

"I've visited (Miami) numerous times and I have a lot of contact with coach Williams and coach Barrow." said Cronkrite.

Although many critics and fans alike are wondering why the 'Canes have yet to offer Cronkrite. They have noticed the promise and potential in this top-level prospect.

"I have interest in (Miami). They have been my favorite school since I was a kid." said Cronkrite.

Fortunately for Jordan, he feels an offer coming.

"I think (an offer) will come once they decide what position they want me to play. Whether it be wide-receiver, running back or safety." said Cronkrite.

The 5'11" 180-pound Cronkrite is focusing on his high school team right now. Along with 2015 TE Devonaire Clarington, 2015 ATH Tim Irvin and 2014 QB Hunter Boyett, Westminster Christian should be solid.

"I feel like we have a great shot to win states this year. We've got great players coming in from different schools like Devonaire." said Cronkrite.

Cronkrite is one hot prospect, but after his junior season, the 'Canes coaching staff should be deeply invested.

Very underrated prospect who doesn't get enough hype because he plays with Irvin. He has great size and can ball.

Might be a better prospect than Irvin

Based on his versatility I think you could constitute him as the better prospect between him and Irvin.

Definitely would like to see him in next years class. Clarington is the one I'd pass on based off things I've been told from those around the school.

The kid is about 200lbs right now and has ran 4.4 at a couple of workouts. I know UM is one school he is willing to play where they want him at compared to other schools where he has said he wants to play a specific position. FSU is one school who are willing to wait to see where he develops and they have offered early which may mean a lot.

Cronkite looks real nice. Tim Irvin looks ridiculous

Saw the Westminster boys working out today. They look good, very good. If they stay healthy should be a very exciting year for them.

Jordan looked impressive today. His footwork is clearly improving. Pound for pound he's probably the strongest guy on the team in the weight room.

Tim is Tim. Athletic freak. He's clearly worked hard this summer and is carrying some real good added weight.

They have a junior linebacker, Broadway, strong kid who looked real good out there today. He's short but should be interesting to see how he develops this year. Has the build of a quality fullback at the next level IMO.

Quick question for anyone that might know, are Cronkite's and Irvin's height and weight listed on their highlight video's accurate? I thought Cronkite at 5'11 180 looked about right, but Irvin seemed to be bigger than 5'9 175 and I would have thought that he was much bigger than Cronkite by watching their highlights.

Those are about right. Tim is done getting any taller. He plays much bigger than he is on both sides of the ball.

Jordan has stretched out a bit more this year. Still filling out. 5'11 sounds right, maybe 6' eventually.

Size shouldn't hurt Irvin at all especially if he's a slot receiver..

Kid could stop and go on a dime

Both kids have hit the weights hard this summer. Cronkite is just about 200 and Tim looks like he is about a good 190+
