2014 Miami target Seabury de-commits from FSU

"I sat down at the table and talked to my mom about it and I just felt like I couldn't see myself playing at Florida State the next four years." said 2014 Timber Creek (Fla.) ATH Javonte Seabury, who is a big 'Canes target.

The 5-foot-9 170-pound playmaker tweeted this afternoon that he had de-committed from the Seminoles with this tweet: "Just decommited from florida state" - @CJavontesb

"I felt like I wasn't really comfortable with (Florida State). I felt like I rushed into my commitment. So I decided to open my recruitment back up." said Seabury.

Seabury says he is still very much considering Miami, FlU, Kent State, and Florida State.

"FIU is really up there. They have been showing me a lot of love. I went up there to visit last week. Coach (Ron) Turner is a good guy. I really like them a lot because they have a good coaching staff." said Seabury.

Seabury went camping this summer as he attended one of the Al Golden Football Camp sessions in June and won the fastest man competition with a 4.37 40-yard dash as he blew away his competition. Seabury's best position on the field is wide-receiver and is looking for a school, that can use him in that position.

"I'm really looking for a school that can fit me. I'm not looking for a school that runs the I-formation. Obviously I want to go to a spread school where they can get me out in the open and let me do what I do best." said Seabury. Last time I checked, Miami runs a version of the spread-offense.

Seabury already has an idea of when he wants to commit to another school. He plans to do so within the next four weeks.

"I plan on visiting FIU soon. I'm going to visit Miami again." Seabury said.

The 'Canes are very well in contention for this top talent.

**In case you were wondering, Javonte does have a Miami offer.

Looks like our offense isnt up his alley. I like that we mix in the I formation witha spread system.

Your right because his brother is definitely not going to FIU. I think him going to FIU puts Miami in the drivers seat.

I think with Jordan scarlett naming FSU his clear leader has FSU rethinking the need for the package deal with Seabury/Patrick. So Seabury was most likely encouraged to seek shelter elsewhere. An UM has most likely filled the slot spot already with a silent commit, so in order to be close to his brother the mother is probably pushing him to FIU which would allow the two brothers to be in the same metro area. So this could also bring Patrick and the big 2015 5* DT from texas that is now fast friends with Patrick. So it could all work out well, I think scarlett is a better back but would still be happy with patrick.

Go Canes

I don't understand this really, unless Jimbo changed something dramatically FSU pretty much runs a spread. The probably operate out of the gun more than Miami does. Maybe something fell thru idk, but hey if he wants to be a Cane and Miami wants him then bring him on board

Not really, if you watch them it's really a power back formation and when they do go in the spread they aren't that dynamic. When you watched Manuel they always seemed to stay away from being aggressive and the best way to tell is compare their offense to ours in explosion plays. By the way I think FSU cooled on him so I think what he said was bs tbh

The fact that we are in contention for a kid with FIU and Kent State bothers me. I understand he is bait for his brother but come on.FSU has cooled on him because they are in the driver seat for Scarlett and would rather have him than Patrick so why waste a scholarship.

That 2015 DT from Texas is Daylon Mack. Mack said he is only considering Texas schools now because his parents won't let him leave the state for college.
