"I sat down at the table and talked to my mom about it and I just felt like I couldn't see myself playing at Florida State the next four years." said 2014 Timber Creek (Fla.) ATH Javonte Seabury, who is a big 'Canes target.
The 5-foot-9 170-pound playmaker tweeted this afternoon that he had de-committed from the Seminoles with this tweet: "Just decommited from florida state" - @CJavontesb
"I felt like I wasn't really comfortable with (Florida State). I felt like I rushed into my commitment. So I decided to open my recruitment back up." said Seabury.
Seabury says he is still very much considering Miami, FlU, Kent State, and Florida State.
"FIU is really up there. They have been showing me a lot of love. I went up there to visit last week. Coach (Ron) Turner is a good guy. I really like them a lot because they have a good coaching staff." said Seabury.
Seabury went camping this summer as he attended one of the Al Golden Football Camp sessions in June and won the fastest man competition with a 4.37 40-yard dash as he blew away his competition. Seabury's best position on the field is wide-receiver and is looking for a school, that can use him in that position.
"I'm really looking for a school that can fit me. I'm not looking for a school that runs the I-formation. Obviously I want to go to a spread school where they can get me out in the open and let me do what I do best." said Seabury. Last time I checked, Miami runs a version of the spread-offense.
Seabury already has an idea of when he wants to commit to another school. He plans to do so within the next four weeks.
"I plan on visiting FIU soon. I'm going to visit Miami again." Seabury said.
The 'Canes are very well in contention for this top talent.
**In case you were wondering, Javonte does have a Miami offer.
