2014 ATH Myles Autry from Norcross High (Ga.) has emerged as one of the state's top prospects for his class. The junior has offers from the likes of Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Miami, and Tennessee.
"Basically I'm looking at if I can start my freshman year, if I can fit in the offense, and if they have my major (engineering)."
Autry plays both sides of the ball, playing running back and receiver on offense, as well as corner on the defensive side of the ball.
"Most schools are recruiting me as a running back and that's what I like to play."
As he mentioned, Autry wants to play in an offense that could fit his style of play.
"I know I don't want the triple option, maybe something like Oregon or Ohio State runs. I can play receiver at slot so I could fit in an offense like that."
A school that he has interest in is Miami. The 'Canes have offered Autry, but he would like to talk to them more.
"I like Miami a lot. I visited Miami when I was in 7th grade when they played Florida State and that was crazy because it was a rivalry game. Their fans are crazy and I love the atmosphere. I like everything about Miami, they're a great school to go to."
The junior standout expanded on the situation with Miami.
"They told me I had an offer, but they haven't really talked to me yet. They're supposed to be coming down to watch one of my games, but I haven't reached out to their coach yet. I wanna hear more from them."
Autry spoke about some other schools that are sticking out for him early in the process.
"Ohio State is my dream school. I'm visiting soon for their game against Michigan. I go to most of Georgia Tech's games since my brother goes there, my brother talks to me about them. I just don't think the triple option fits me."
