Miami has made 2013 University School (Fla.) WR Jordan Cunningham a large priority in this year’s recruiting class.

Cunningham was able to make it down to Miami for their Senior Day on Sunday.

“It was good, we toured the campus, watched the scrimmage, and they told us about the academics.”

Cunningham not only spent his time with his current teammates, but also with friends on the hurricane roster.

“I was with David Perry, Deon Bush,(Phillip) Dorsett, and Malcolm Lewis.”

The elite wide receiver had good remarks as far as what he saw in the canes scrimmage on sunday.

“It was good, I feel like they could use a little help at the wide receiver position.” and their offense looks good.”

Cunningham got the opportunity to speak with Miami wide receiver coach McDonald and the rest of the coaching staff.

“We just talked about how they would use me in the offense.”

While Cunningham, was one of the large priorities on campus that day, his teammate Maquedius Bain was another big target for the canes.

“He liked it a lot, he’s been there a few times before and he came back down.”

When asked if this Senior Day helped Miami in his top 5, Cunningham said “ it definitely helped them a little bit from an academic standpoint.”

Cunningham rated the overall visit a “8 out of 10".

He will be a Cane if Miami takes him
This.

Like I said in another thread--do not be surprised/disappointed if all we get at WR for 2013 is Cunningham/AJL. That will be a pretty good duo to go with what we have. Coley would just be icing on the cake IF (big IF) we can pull him somehow.

If the staff feels good with Coley, I don't think they take Cunningham. On the other hand, I believe they take Cunningham if things work out with Coley. One or the other most likely.

I hear ya. I'm just saying there hasn't been much love between the staff and Coley that I've heard so far, and Cunningham has came to all kinds of events at UM and been in contact with coaches--so I'm doing the math and saying Cunningham has the inside track to filling that other WR spot in the class alongside AJL. That's just what it looks like to me right now.

Not Peter, but if you're talking about straight out of HS:

1. Coley
2. Cunningham
3. Jones
4. Carter

If you're talking about this point next year, then it's a toss up because Carter and Jones could really blossom after RS. You just never know.

I would switch Carter and Jones, but they are very similar
