I got a request to mash up all of Stephen Morris's plays from the Maryland game so that we may go back and critique his performance, look at his footwork and decisions and have a reference point for this year when SM #17 competes for the starting QB1 job for the Hurricanes 2012-2013 season. How much has he improved? How good can he be? Comment on what you see and what you think.

What he really needs is reps. Very talented with his arm and feet. He will be getting almost all the first team reps once camp opens and that will help.

Yup..he froze that outside LB with the look down the middle..if he would have pulled off and dropped it over top...Coop would still be running.
First play, he should've hit Coop in the wheel route. 30+ yards at least.

It all depends on how much better he gets under Fisch. Harris made a pretty big turnaround and he didn't have the benefit of SM's arm strength.

Gotta improve his decision making (including eyeballing recievers) - he got away with some questionable throws.

I think Morris can at least do what Harris did last year in terms of production. I think we might see a little bit more deep balls than last year. Whenever Morris misses deep it's never really underthrown and less likely to be picked off.

Strong arm. Good feet. We sure didn't lose that game because of him. Hopefully he takes the next big step.

Opps....Get so use to calling #2 Coop but that was Byrd on the wheel route.
He's referring to Lamar Miller im guessing

Craig Cooper was on the 2011 team?

Penalties killed us in that game. The costly fumble at the end of the first half sure didn't help!

That was Laron Byrd. Kid is a good athlete with a strong arm, he showes flashes, but then makes huge mistakes as well. His ability to cut down on INTs will be the key to our offensive success, difference between probably 6 or 8 wins this season.

strong arm but he stares down on his1st read to much..

I blame streeter for the first interception.

We could have won that game if we figured out how to stop the WR bubble screen! They ran it successfully at least 8 times for big yardage. If we had any kind of CB's last year, we probably win that game, and its water under the bridge. That being said, Morris will be alright IMO, like you guys said, REPS! Fisch draws up some pretty nice plays, always seems to be someone runnin free. Would hate to lose him.
