I can confirm Miami is working hard on transfers right now..

I mean on paper we have definitely lost more than we have gained, Norchad is an all-conference player and Wooga if nothing else has a lot of talent. Even if we get Mitchell, losing those two and Bensley definitely puts us in net loser category, and if we don't get Mitchell we are way in net loser category. That definitely doesn't necessarily mean we will be worse than last year though given that last year's team had a lot of problems that weren't reflective of the talent level of the team... in fact it is hard to imagine a greater underperformance than last year.

Overall if we can grab Mitchell, and can get quality minutes out of a bench guard like Schwartz or Djobet I think we at least have tourney potential with the transfer additions and Bethea, but on paper we definitely look like losers in the process.
Net loss in individual talent but the parts matching better and being a more well rounded roster is better. Last year we were super small , unathletic while lacking ball handlers and depth. The previous team was a mess so I care less about talent in and talent out. This team will be much better imo. If CBB was only about individual talent UK would be in the final four every year. As you know talent matters but so does chemistry , coaching , depth and experience. Parts fitting and chemistry being huge.

I think it’s easy to tell who watches CBB and who doesn’t based on some of the takes in this thread

The lack of media coverage for this program is pathetic, so I have not seen any updates.
It’s horrendous. Chaney and Wallerup are the only consistent sources of information and they are UM students (or recent grads).

Chris Stock ‘covers’ the team but his content is essentially aggregating others.

Tristen Newton, arguably one of the country's best players the last couple years at UConn, came from ECU> It's hardly a weak sister program.
I don't think you can expect all ECU players to become first team All Americans lol like Newton did

I think he'll be a good player for us, but not all G5 players can succeed in the ACC

Hopefully we rebound as a team better. Problem was in every game we had multiple times where we put up a shot and everyone is already heading the other way. Nobody underneath, and rarely do our guys follow up a shot. Again, happened ALOT in every game.

Been an issue for years, even on our good teams. We absolutely need another big, preferably a defensive/rebounding specialist.

Chaney is good and I like his coverage a lot, but yeah, that’s about it. There’s an abundance of UM football coverage, and most of them only cover football (which is frustrating). I wish Gaby U and David Lake spent some time talking hoops.

The reason why they don't spend time talking hoops is because Miami hoops isn't a money maker for media. Want to not get eyeballs? Write a Miami basketball article. In fact, throughout the years, fans have shown an antipathy to the basketball program. People care more about football recruiting and that stuff, than they did about Miami basketball making a historic run. People will jump on the wagon, and then move on as soon as momentum ebbs.

I also mean besides that there were to many instances of nobody underneath, period. I have noticed this over the years also, but I guess it stands out more when you miss so many shots. It is one thing that drives me crazy. As a smaller team there should be a little more focus on this area, and we did it every game. Lol, we need a 'Rodman' that just camps out under the rim.
